Re-Development Gets Underway in Preston’s Entertainment District

A major refurbishment is underway of over 17,000 sq ft of bar/restaurant leisure space in a bid to attract new investment to Preston city centre.
44 Guildhall Street is in a prime pitch for Preston’s city nightlife, immediately adjacent to Tiggi’s, one of Preston’s longest standing restaurants. A former snooker hall, the property is currently undergoing a major refurbishment in a bid to return the property back to a standard that will attract investment back into Preston’s entertainment district and revitalise the area.
Claire Caunce, retail surveyor at Robert Pinkus said, “The availability of 44 Guildhall Street as a fully refurbished space ready for fit out for trade, is an attractive prospect for potential new occupiers. The large open plan space would be ideal as a live music venue, cocktail bar or nightclub.
“We firmly believe that despite some key closures in the city in recent months, there is still a strong demand for new, quality venues in the city, a belief which has been proved by the popularity and success of the late night bar on Friargate. Preston needs to keep re-inventing itself and it’s redevelopments like 44 Guildhall Street that will help to facilitate the growth that Preston is crying out for.”
