Marstons Build Next to Booths Penwortham, Preston
Posted on 22nd June 2012
Marstons Inns and Taverns have started construction works on a site of 0.8 of an acres at Golden Way Penwortham, acquired in part from E H Booth & Co. Ltd. and in part from Petromex Ltd.
Their plan is to build a public house and restaurant with 180 covers adjacent to Booths’ existing food store in Penwortham and Petromex’s adjoining petrol filling station. Access to the proposed public house will be off Millbrook Way, sharing the existing access to Booths’ car park and petrol filling station.
The start of construction comes at the end of a lengthy period of negotiations, Robert Pinkus & Co. having acted for Booths and Garside Waddingham for Petromex.
Robert Pinkus, Partner at Robert Pinkus & Co. and Development Consultant for Booths said, “The development of the site by Marstons is a natural progression and creation of a use which will provide valuable synergy between the three commercial uses on the wider site.”
