Robert Pinkus & Co. LLP have sold substantial warehousing premises at the popular Walton Summit Industrial Estate, Bamber Bridge, Preston on behalf of a private property trust fund.
Summit Foods Ltd., a well-established frozen foods manufacturing company, already located within the Walton Summit Business Park, have bought additional premises at 186 Bradkirk Place, giving them an extra 10,992 sq ft in which to expand their business.
The well-located unit provides immediate access to the motorway network at junction 29 of the M6, junction 9 of the M61 and junction 2 of the M65. Other occupiers within the estate include BOCM, British Car Auction and Royal Mail.
Founded in 1981 by two experienced butchers, the company remains a family-owned business and operates from an existing 26,000 sq ft modern facility and employs over 150 staff. The company is a versatile producer of quality cooked foods and snack-based products access three sectors: retail, food service and food manufacturing, as well as specialising in bespoke premium products for private labels and their successful, growing Snacksters brand.
Danny Pinkus, Partner at Robert Pinkus & Co. said, “Summit Foods already enjoys being centrally located for the UK distribution network and this is one of the key reasons the company has chosen to take additional space at Bradkirk Place, in close proximity to their existing operations. I am pleased we have been able to meet the needs of their growing business and retain a successful, local employer in the area.”
