Businesses Flock to Preston Industrial Estate
Posted on 4th February 2008
Just seven months after the launch of new industrial development at a leading Preston industrial estate, a flurry of deals has seen 52,000 sq ft snapped up by local businesses. Only 13,000 sq ft of space remains available out of a total of 65,000 sq ft refurbished accommodation at Preston East’s Roman Way Industrial Estate, with companies such as Citylink and local construction and engineering firms taking new leases on the site. All deals have been completed by Robert Pinkus & Co and their joint agents Preston-based Bailey Deakin & Hamiltons.
Commercial Estates Group, who own various commercial property throughout the UK, carried out the £400,000 comprehensive renovation programme of the former Unit Press factory and warehouse accommodation earlier in the year.
The remaining 13,000 sq ft of space comprises steel portal frame construction and provides open plan factory/warehouse space with combination natural and sodium lighting and a mixture of cellular and open plan office accommodation. The unit has 6 metres eaves height, loading access through electrically operated roller shutter doors, opening to a concrete surfaced yard to the front and elevations which provides ample parking for both HGV’s and cars.
